Quadriz and Investancia announce ‘Chaco Alert’: emergency air medical transport funded through REDD+ and ARR carbon credits

The program is funded through the sale of high-integrity REDD+ and ARR carbon credits generated by Quadriz and Investancia, and is implemented in partnership with Paraguay’s public health and air logistics institutions.

Asunción, Paraguay, 27 october 2026 – Quadriz and Investancia, two companies committed to environmental conservation and sustainable development, are announcing the Chaco Alert Program, an initiative designed to strengthen Paraguay’s public emergency healthcare response in the Chaco region.

The program expands emergency air transport capacity for communities across the Paraguayan Chaco, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare and the Paraguayan Air Force, which already provide this service. Chaco Alert adds resources and operational capacity to extend the reach of emergency response to communities in some of the country’s most remote areas.

How does the service work?

Chaco Alert works directly with the Chaco’s network of public health facilities: Fuerte Olimpo Regional Hospital, Puerto Casado District Hospital, and the Family Health Units in Carmelo Peralta, Puerto La Esperanza, Riacho Mosquito and Puerto Pinasco.

When a patient arrives at one of these facilities with a medical emergency, the local medical team assesses their condition and determines whether an urgent air transfer to a higher-level healthcare facility is required. Once the need for air transport has been established, the service is activated.

Importantly, emergency air transport is provided free of charge to patients, removing financial barriers at critical moments. The program will officially begin operations on 27 october.

The challenge in the region

Extreme distances, limited road connectivity and the Paraguayan Chaco’s challenging weather conditions, including prolonged droughts and periodic flooding, can make ground transportation extremely difficult for critically ill patients.

In this context, Paraguay’s public healthcare network relies on air logistics to connect remote communities with higher-level healthcare facilities. Chaco Alert addresses this need by coordinating additional resources and operational capacity with the relevant public institutions.
