Public comment period commences on Quadriz’ REDD+ Corazón Verde del Chaco Project

Quadriz has commenced the 30-day public comment period on its VCS+CCB REDD+ carbon project named ‘Corazón Verde del Chaco Project’. Comments are invited from the public.

Comments are invited from the public about whether the below project meets the requirements of the VCS and CCB Programs. Comments received by Verra will be published to the project record on the Verra Registry and must be considered by the project proponent and validation/verification body (VVB).

Estimated benefits over the project lifetime:

  • Chaco Med Flights: Chaco Med flights are estimated to impact the local communities through providing improved access to health facilities, life-saving medicine, and medical professionals.
  • Visitors to the Visitor Center: The Project Proponents are in discussions on establishing a visitor center in the future, which would help expand awareness of the Project, along with awareness of the region’s unique cultures and biodiversity.
  • Wildlife Cameras Deployed: The deployment of wildlife cameras throughout the project area is expected to demonstrate the impact of the conservation activities on wildlife, including the effect of conserved forest canopy and wildlife corridors.
