Representatives from Quadriz met with the Minister of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (MADES).

Representatives of Quadriz, led by its CEO Marcel van Heesewijk and the Country Manager Gabriela Viñales, met with the minister of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (MADES), Rolando de Barros, and his team of directors to share the most recent achievements and explore possible collaborations between both organizations.

Among the recent achievements shared by Quadriz are obtaining a high rating by Sylvera, the most transparent carbon market rating agency, for its “Corazón Verde del Chaco” project. During the meeting, it was highlighted that this recognition demonstrates the viability of developing REDD+ projects of the highest quality in the Paraguayan Chaco, a crucial fact for the promotion of future carbon credits in the country.

In addition, Quadriz’s admission as a member of the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) was highlighted, being the first company with REDD+ projects in Paraguay to be accepted into this leading organization in the area. In this way, Quadriz is part of an international platform to promote Paraguay and its high-quality carbon projects.

The CEO of Quadriz expressed his appreciation to MADES for its support to the sector, essential to accomplish these achievements.

Likewise, the progress of the regulatory framework for the Carbon Credit was also discussed. Quadriz expressed willingness to actively participate in the public consultation phase of the document, offering its experience in the area.

Meeting points for future joint actions were also explored, anticipating the signing of a framework agreement that strengthens collaboration between Quadriz and MADES in the promotion of innovative initiatives in the country.
